Telling the Stories That Matter to Our Community
For over two decades, Australian Filipina has been the voice of the Filipino community in Australia — celebrating culture, championing achievement, and connecting two nations.
Two Decades of Celebrating the Filipino-Australian Experience Online
Australian Filipina was founded on the belief that every community deserves a publication that speaks directly to its heart. We set out to create a space where Filipino-Australians could see themselves — their stories, their successes, their struggles — reflected with honesty and pride.
Since our founding, we have covered everything from the AFC Women's Asian Cup to the Pamana Ball, from community fundraisers to profiles of Filipino-Australian entrepreneurs reshaping industries across the country.
We are not just a magazine. We are a community record — a living archive of what it means to be Filipino in Australia.
Founded in Sydney
Australian Filipina was born from a simple idea: the Filipino-Australian community deserved an online publication that truly reflected their lives, ambitions, and culture. Our founder launched the platform from Sydney with a small but passionate team.
Growing Our Reach
As the community grew, so did we. We expanded our digital presence, bringing our stories to Filipinos across every state and territory — and to readers in the Philippines who wanted to follow the diaspora experience.
A New Chapter
Today, Australian Filipina is a fully digital editorial platform covering lifestyle, business, culture, sports, and community affairs. We continue to grow our readership and deepen our commitment to authentic, community-driven journalism.
“To celebrate, connect, and champion the Filipino-Australian community through honest, beautiful, and purposeful storytelling.”
Australian Filipina is independently owned and operated. Our editorial decisions are made free from commercial or political pressure. We are committed to accuracy, fairness, and the highest standards of community journalism.
Community First
Every story we publish is chosen because it matters to the Filipino-Australian community. We are accountable to our readers, not to advertisers or political agendas.
Cultural Pride
We celebrate Filipino heritage without apology. From Filipiniana to food, from bayanihan to business — we honour the richness of our culture in every issue.
Authentic Voices
We platform Filipino-Australian writers, photographers, and creatives. Our stories are told by the community, for the community — not filtered through an outside lens.
Two Nations, One Story
We sit at the intersection of two great nations. We cover Australia and the Philippines with equal depth, because our readers live across both worlds.
