The National Affiliation of Respectable and Responsible Associations (NARRA) Co-operative Limited and PLAZA Filipino proudly announce their joint annual Tribute to Fathers and Mothers celebration, set for Sunday, August 10, 2025. This year's theme, "Legacy in Action: Celebrating Family, Culture and Future," honours fifteen exceptional Filipino-Australian leaders whose ongoing contributions continue to strengthen community bonds and inspire future generations.The 2025 honourees represent a diverse tapestry of leadership, from local government champions to community builders who have dedicated their lives to bridging cultures and creating opportunities for others.

This year's distinguished honourees include:

Fathers:

  • Engramar Sampang Bollas - Leads a community of software engineers, which assists non-profit organisations
  • Jess Diaz – Community advocate and local government leader
  • Randy Hipolito – Community organiser and cultural ambassador
  • Eugene Urriza La Compte – Dedicated community volunteer
  • Jaime Guadalupe Lui – Business and community leader
  • Eric Paguio Prevendido – Cultural preservation advocate
  • Fred Reyes - Leads spiritual activities, visits the sick, and helps the needy

Mothers:

  • Mary Ann Alfonso – Community educator and mentor
  • Lhaurie Gutierrez Borbe – Youth development advocate
  • Dolores Lim Cruz – Community welfare pioneer
  • Dorothy Ann Baena Del Villar – Public service leader and community champion
  • Leilani Angeles Henson – Cultural bridge-builder
  • Liz Mateo Lallana – Community organiser and volunteer leader
  • Raissa Mae Crease Arayenza – Cultural arts champion
  • Mathel Santos – Family and community advocate

The celebration recognises honourees who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to family values, cultural preservation, and community development. Each has played a pivotal role in strengthening the Filipino-Australian community through mentorship, advocacy, and tireless volunteer service. Beyond their professional achievements, these dedicated parents have instilled the values of community service in their children, encouraging active participation in fundraising initiatives and cultural programs that strenghen our shared heritage. 

This annual tradition showcases the vibrant contributions of Filipino-Australians to the broader Australian community. The event serves as both a celebration and an inspiration for younger generations to carry forward the legacy of service and cultural pride.

The Tribute to Fathers and Mothers 2025 will feature cultural performances, community recognition ceremonies, and opportunities for intergenerational connection. The event reinforces NARRA Co-op's and Plaza Filipino’s mission to promote Filipino-Australian arts, culture, and community development while supporting NARRA’s ongoing Project 500 fundraising and Plaza Filipino’s other initiatives.
